I cancelled the 2nd because it was just going to do the same thing forever. I use IPA sprayed on a microfiber to clean discs.īelow is two attempts of getting MakeMKV to see the disc. I do not clean my discs with soap or water. At least the Pioneer could rip it with no trouble. I just do not understand why this 1 specific disc was a problem with my BU40N but everything else was just fine.

I then buy a Pioneer BDR-XD07S just to have another BD drive and did not care if it supported 4K. The replacement did the exact same thing. So I assumed it had to be the disc so I had it replaced by Amazon. It still reads and rips other blurays or even 4K blurays just fine. Even reinstalled MakeMKV removing all traces before reinstalling. I also tried swapping cables and USB ports.

I insert disc 2 and the drive would either not read the disc or it would read the disc then MakeMKV would most of the time fail to read the disc. I was ripping Terror in Resonance and disc 1 ripped just fine. This is the first time I have run into this issue.
